Mission
The Rapid City Library Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster a legacy of excellence in community education and enrichment through the Rapid City Public Library.

Goals
Fund Raising - Including increasing the endowment investment balance, developing promotional materials including estate planning, and expanding the donor base via Friend-Raising.
Highlight the Library’s services and programs, which answers the question “why libraries are relevant in today’s digital age?”
Develop a calendar of events to bring people into the library and work to engender public support and use of the Rapid City Public Libraries; generate and develop special project funding; facilitate and expand community collaborations; support broadly-based community learning; and, initiate cross-cultural and diversity-sensitive associations to address 21st century information needs.
